Animal Adoption Info
Purpose:
The Gulf Coast Humane Society is committed to the welfare of animals from the
time their paws come through our doors. We are equally committed to their
long-term care by adopting them into homes that are prepared to commit to their
pet’s welfare. We believe our companion pets deserve love and attention, proper
housing, food, water and the necessary veterinary care.
Application Information
Applications are taken for the adoption of a pet from our shelter. The following
items are important for approval of an
application:
 | For Dogs, a home should have a fenced yard or a dog run |
| Apartment dwellers must have management approval for a pet |
| Households with children under age 5 are a concern when considering adopting a pet under 4 months of age |
| If you are a current pet owner, verification of your pet’s vaccinations, heartworm prevention etc. is reviewed |
