What is Humane Education?
Humane Education Works...and is making a difference in our community! Pictured with our little ambassador, Mikey. Students at Bishop Garriga enjoy a morning at our facility. Today, our society rightly believes that people can be influenced or changed through education. Humane education is not just a visit to the shelter to see homeless animals, but a plan for a lifestyle to combat cruelty and needless suffering of all living beings. To help more young people understand the importance of respecting all life and to have a compassion for animals, the GCHS offers free, age-specific humane education presentations. We’re happy to work with individual elementary, middle school and high school classes, scout troops, at-risk juveniles and other types of youth groups. The GCHS encourages and welcomes teachers to take advantage of these programs. For more information, please call Cody Rice at 225-0845 Ext. 121
