A MESSAGE FROM THE

GULF COAST HUMANE SOCIETY

As we approach the end of the year, we are once again reflecting on where we've been and where we will be going in the coming year. Since 2000 we have found homes for over 10,000 cats and dogs, a few rabbits and a couple of goats. Every dog and cat that leaves our shelter is spayed/neutered. We also offer our spay/neuter service to the general public.

We are proud to announce that since 2000 our veterinary staff has performed almost 13,000 spay/neuters. Whew!!! My hat is off to all of the shelter employees who helped us get there by staying focused on what we are here for .... to make a difference in the animal care in our community by creating awareness, education and, quite simply, helping to stop some of the senseless killing of the unwanted dogs and cats in our city due to overpopulation.

In the coming year we will continue to enhance our programs. Our pet therapy program, "Paws Up," is already increasing (we have another 14 pet partner teams in training and a waiting list for the next session). We will continue to focus on our education, adoption, adoption and spay/neuter programs and set higher goals for the coming year. Thanks to all of the many individuals who help us make these things possible by your generous donations.

Please help us to continue to make a difference. Your donation to our organization helps us to continue to give back to our community.
