You know those dead dogs on the highway? One of them was mine.

"The back of a truck is no place for a dog..." I found out the hard way.

"It happened suddenly. I hit a bump high tailing down the freeway and Duke went over the side - smack in front of an oncoming car. he poor guy never had a chance.

"He'd been my dog since he was a little bitty puppy, too. And I killed him because I was dumb enough to think he was safe riding in the bed of my pickup.

"If I'm ever lucky enough to get myself a dog again, believe me...he'll always ride up front with me. Or he won't go. Don't make the mistake I did. It hurts too much."

Help Us Stop the Hurt.

THE TRAGIC TRUTH: 100,000 dogs are killed each year by falling or jumping from the back of trucks.
